TRANSPARENCY
Data Sources & Freshness
SlateSignals separates source data from proprietary model outputs. Public research is published only after integrity checks confirm the required research layers are present.
MLB research
Primary inputs include MLB schedule/game information, official lineup context, Baseball Savant / Statcast-derived research, historical player and pitcher performance, and locally generated SlateSignals model files.
Daily workflows can be refreshed as probable pitchers, lineups and game context become more reliable.
MLB first inning
NRFI/YRFI is one research module using team first-inning form, starter first-inning history, batting context and game environment. Its probability is a model estimate supported by those inputs.
NFL research
Primary inputs include verified nflverse historical game, roster, player-stat and play-by-play datasets, combined with SlateSignals weekly modeling and research transformations.
Player roles, game logs, team trends, DvP, receiver coverage context, touchdown probabilities and player projections refresh with the weekly research process.
Publication gate
A page can show LIVE, PARTIAL, WAITING or STALE depending on source coverage and recency. The website should not present an incomplete critical research layer as fully ready.
Future market layer
Sportsbook prices, model-to-market edges and pick decisions are not part of the current public research database. Those integrations are preserved for future product development.
Interpretation
Historical rates describe what happened. Projections estimate what may happen. Context scores organize model inputs. These are different concepts and are labeled separately throughout SlateSignals.
